What is CloudLinux?
CloudLinux is a Linux OS built specifically for shared hosting, on top of LVE (Lightweight Virtual Environment) kernel technology — limiting CPU/RAM/I/O/process count per individual hosting account.
On plain CentOS/AlmaLinux, one overloaded or compromised website can slow down the entire shared server — the "neighbor from hell" effect. CloudLinux packages each account into its own LVE container: a user who exhausts their allotted resources only affects themselves, not other sites.
CageFS adds a filesystem isolation layer — each user only sees their own files, not the processes/configuration of other users on the same server, blocking most local-hack techniques between sites on shared hosting.
