What is Imunify360?
Imunify360 is a proactive security suite for hosting servers (cPanel/DirectAdmin/Plesk), built by CloudLinux Inc. Unlike traditional signature-based antivirus, Imunify360 combines AI + global threat intelligence to detect attacks by behavior, including malware variants never seen before.
Three main layers of protection:
- Advanced Firewall: blocks brute-force, port scans, and application-layer DDoS based on aggregated data from millions of servers worldwide
- Malware Scanning: real-time scan of all hosting files, with automatic quarantine of infected files
- Proactive Defense: blocks malicious PHP scripts at runtime — including zero-days with no signature yet, before they can run
The license activates against the VPS/Server's IP address, and is compatible with cPanel, DirectAdmin (v3.1.3+), and Plesk (from version 3.8.5, Plesk 12.5 is no longer supported).
Centralized incident management
The Imunify360 dashboard integrates directly into cPanel, Plesk, and DirectAdmin — no separate login required. All security events and incidents update every 60 seconds, with filtering by severity, per-incident detail views, whitelist/blacklist management, and reporting right inside the control panel you already use.
Advanced firewall against DDoS & brute-force
Advanced Firewall combines AI with data aggregated from millions of servers worldwide to detect and block application-layer DDoS, brute-force, and port scans in real time. Tightly integrated with ModSecurity to protect web applications against attacks large and small — when unusual access is detected, the system requires verification before allowing the site to load.
Protecting the server from both inside and outside
IPS (Intrusion Prevention System) immediately blocks known attacks and exploits using a continuously updated ruleset. IDS (Intrusion Detection System) monitors server logs from multiple angles, automatically banning IPs showing malicious signals (repeated failed logins, exploit attempts...) and reporting to the central dashboard.
Malware detection + automatic security patching
Continuous malware scanning based on the ClamAV database, detecting and quarantining malicious files uploaded to the server in real time.
Built-in KernelCare (automatic kernel patching, no reboot needed) and Hardened PHP (automatic PHP application security patching with no service interruption) — shrinking the exposure window against newly disclosed vulnerabilities.
Early detection of unauthorized intrusion
